Welcome to the Lake Worth Library. The library’s mission is to provide free access to information, resources, programs and technology to meet patron needs for educational, cultural, recreational and lifelong learning.
The library provides a wide array of materials in many formats accessible through the online catalog as well as online databases to support research, computers for word processing, and internet access.
The library embraces the twenty-first century concept of “libraries without walls” to offer resources and services by providing patrons a portal to external resources. These resources include:
The Lake Worth Library is a member of the Library Cooperative of the Palm Beaches which entitles library patrons to use the services of all member libraries without charge. Materials are available in a variety of formats: print, video, DVD, and Books on Tape (audiocassette and CD), as well as electronic books. Each section of the library is committed to providing high-quality service that encourages patrons to become lifelong library users. A variety of programs are offered for pre-schoolers to seniors. Patrons are encouraged to become active participants in suggesting titles for the library, to attend classes on using the computer and library resources, to join the Friends of the Library to advocate for library service, to attend the wide range of informational and literary programs hosted by the library, and to volunteer to assist with tasks at the library. You are invited to drop by the library and discover a place that manages both to retain small town friendliness and attention to customer service and to offer all the modern services you would expect from a quality library.
